Garbage pick-up update after Monday’s storm

Logan City’s Environmental Department announced on Monday that garbage was only being collected on plowed streets in Logan only on Monday. This means that there was NO garbage and recycling service in Mendon, Newton, Clarkson, Amalga, Trenton, Cornish or in unincorporated areas of Cache County whose garbage is regularly collected on Monday.

However they will return to areas that were not collected Monday on Tuesday 1/24/2017. If trucks are unable to access your street due to snow, please plan on bagging your extra garbage and setting it out next to your can the following week on your regular collection day (1/30/2017).

If there are changes to this schedule due to continued snow, the department will notify individual Cities and put the information on their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cityoflogan), on Twitter (@cityoflogan), and their website at http://www.loganutah.org/government/departments/environmental/index.php.

They ask that residents help the garbage and snow plow drivers out by standing their cans up if they are tipped over, bringing them in off of the street as soon as they are emptied, and clearing the snow from the lids.
