LOGAN – After hitting the ground hard against Nevada, USU senior guard Shane Rector’s availability is unknown for Saturday’s game at Boise State. Head coach Tim Duryea said it is “up in the air.”
“We’ll have to see when we practice at Boise today kind of where he is in terms of the progress he’s made,” he said. “We didn’t do much on the floor yesterday, so Shane spent the day getting treatment. So status is undetermined at this point.”
It was originally feared that Rector received a concussion, but Duryea said that wasn’t the case.
“It is all about his wrist,” Duryea said. “He got six stitches above his eye. It’s his right shooting wrist that he fell on very awkwardly. It is extremely sore.”
USU will play in Boise 6 p.m. Saturday.
