The American West Heritage Center will host its annual Baby Animal Days event from April 5-8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Marketing Director Reigan Gudmundson says the festival has become so popular it has been extended from three days to four this year.
Besides cuddling a lot of farm animals, visitors will be able to see baby bears from Yellowstone’s Bear World.
Gudmundson says Baby Animal Days is a unique experience that the whole family can share.
“There’s so much excitement here. The energy is so great, it’s very family friendly. The fun thing is to see the kids react to animals they have never been able to touch, or pet, or hold before. It’s a great opportunity to have kids be able to see these animals, to even milk a cow. They get an opportunity to milk an actual cow.”
She says there will also be sheep shearing demonstrations, pony and train rides, fishing, mechanical bull rides and much more. Games and activities will also be held on the Mountain Man, Pioneer and 1917 farm sites.
The American West Heritage Center is located at 4025 South Highway 89/91 in Wellsville, six miles south of Logan.
