Jess Bradfield has become the first person to indicate an interest in running for a seat on Logan’s Municipal Council. Bradfield said he plans to file for the office once the filing period officially opens on June 1.
A native of Preston, Idaho, Bradfield is the human resources manager for JBS. He has been a member of the Utah State University Conduct Review Board and the Woodruff Neighborhood Council.
Bradfield said Logan City is being managed well, and he believes he could contribute to helping grow its economy. If elected, he would plan to stress three main issues.
“The first one is I want to make sure we retain the local talent that Logan provides,” Bradfield said. “I’d like to see us ensure a vibrant economic growth by promoting the city as a premier business destination. Finally, I’d like to make sure that we improve and continue to improve communication between government and residents to address a lot of the difficult issues that arise such as roads, traffic and air quality.”
Bradfield said he has worked with some of the most innovative universities and largest corporations in the nation. He said these experiences have provided him with a multi-faceted viewpoint that will be beneficial to addressing many of the issues Logan City will confront in the future.
