Once again, the Tour of Utah is coming to Logan. Two years ago, Logan was chosen as the host city for the start of the weeklong professional cycling event, and Logan Downtown Manager Gary Saxton said the city has been chosen for the honor again. He said those in charge told him that Logan turned out to be a “great place to have a great party.”
Saxton said the Tour of Utah runs from July 31 through August 6, but there will be a team presentation on Saturday, July 29, at the Logan Golf and Country Club. A press conference is scheduled for Sunday at the Edith Bowen School.
“And then Race Stage One,” said an excited Saxton. “Race starts on Monday morning at 8:45 a.m. in downtown with the men’s race. About 116 to 120 professional cyclists will begin Stage One and will finish in downtown.”
Saxton said there will be activities going on all day on the day of the race. More details will be announced at a later date.
