Thursday was the first day to file for elections in Logan and all of the other cities and towns in Cache County. It was rather a busy day for Logan, according to City Recorder Teresa Harris. She says before the day was over three persons had filed for the office of Mayor and there were four candidates for two available council seats.
Those filing for Logan City Mayor include Holly Daines (currently a member of the city council), Brian Seamons and Kyle Barney. The candidates who filed for for council on the opening day were Keith Schnare, Jess Bradfield, Paul Rogers and Jens CK Trauntvein.
On Friday, Amy Z. Anderson filed paperwork with Logan City to run for the Logan Municipal Council as well. She was the only candidate to file on Friday, bringing the total number of candidates for city council to five.
The deadline for filing is Wednesday, June 7. Both the mayor and council seats are elected at-large and are all for four-year terms.
