The decision by Republican leaders not to fund a health care bill has created a great deal of anxiety among many families. Danny Beus, chairman of the Cache County Democratic Party, says Latinos are particularly devastated to hear there is no plan to replace the Affordable Care Act.

“It’s too bad that instead of standing up to major corporations and big business, the Republican Party is bowing down to them,” he claims. “Tax cuts for the rich and taking away health care from people is not what Americans are about.”

He says Latinos experienced a decline in insurance rates of over 40 percent under the Affordable Care Act.
