Logan City’s new library director comes to the position not only with nine years experience as assistant director, but also with experience as acting director over the last several months.
Karen Clark was introduced as the new director at Tuesday’s meeting of the Logan Municipal Council. Mayor Craig Petersen was out of town for the meeting, but Human Resources Director Greg Cox read a statement from Petersen praising Clark’s appointment.
“We think that was an excellent choice,” Cox explained. “It was a hard choice between originally 19 candidates and we paired it down to three and interviewed them. We brought them in for presentations.
“It was a really difficult choice last week in reviewing all of that. The Library Board recommended Karen and we agreed that it was an excellent choice.”
Clark said she is excited about the job and feels her knowledge of the community and its people as well as she does will help her.
