LOGAN — Ballots are being mailed out Friday, July 21, and Logan residents who are registered to vote in the <a href=”http://www.loganutah.org/government/mayor_s_office/elections.php”>Logan City Primary Election</a> should receive them sometime next week. City Recorder Teresa Harris noted there are four candidates for mayor this year, and 10 people are running for two open seats on the municipal council. She also reminded voters of several important deadlines.

“August 8th is the last day that you can register in person at the <a href=”https://www.cachecounty.org/clerk/”>(Cache) County Clerk’s Office</a> or online for the primary election,” Harris said. “The Election Day is August 15th, and ballots must be postmarked August 14th, the day before the election, or you can bring them here to City Hall. Any time on the 15th, we’ll have a Voting Assistance Center set up in the City Hall Conference Room, just off the lobby area, and you can bring those starting at 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.”

City Councilmember Holly Daines, whose term is expiring at the end of 2017, is running for mayor. The other <a href=”http://www.loganutah.org/Candidates%20Primary%202017.pdf”>mayoral candidates</a> are Hayden Eugene Nielson, Brian Seamons and Kyle Barney. <a href=”http://www.loganutah.org/Candidates%20Primary%202017.pdf”>Candidates for the council</a> include Emmanuel Amador Hererra, Keith Schnare, Richard Steele, Paul Borup, Jess Bradfield, Amy Z.
