Overcoming a 1-0 deficit only 45 seconds into the game, the Utah State Aggies hockey team opened their 2017-2018 season with a 7-3 road win over the Weber State University Wildcats.
The Aggies took advantage of the penalty-marred game by scoring all 7 of their goals on the power play. Junior Center Frank Flight led the way with two Aggie goals.
“I was pleasantly pleased and surprised. The intensity was there,” Aggies head coach Jon Eccles said after the game.
The Aggies will continue their road campaign Friday against Utah Valley University and next Saturday against the Utah Utes.
The home opener will be on Friday, October 6th against Metro State.
