This Friday is one of the biggest football games of the season for the Aggies as Utah State takes on in-state rival BYU on Merlin Olsen Field. If you can’t make it to the game, you can watch it on CBS Sports (Comcast (Utah): Ch. 269/753HD; DISH: Ch. 158; DirecTV: Ch. 221).

On Saturday, that stadium will be filled again, but this time with high school students from all over the area participating in the Bridgerland Band Invitational. There will be 30 marching bands ranging in size from 30 students to 200 students. They will take the field throughout the day beginning at 10:50 a.m., including local schools Ridgeline (12:15 p.m.), Mountain Crest (2:15 p.m.) and Sky View (2:30 p.m.).

If you like Dutch Oven food you’ll want to check out the Dutch Oven Cook Off going on in Preston on Saturday. The show features the talents of comedian Charles Ross who single-handedly plays all the characters and covers all the plots of the original Star Wars trilogy in just over 60 minutes.

And something you’ll want to watch for early next week is Thriller by the Odyssey Dance Company. They perform Monday and Tuesday evening at the Ellen Eccles Theatre.
