This coming Friday night, January 12th, is the eighth annual community event highlighting the message of Martin Luther King, Jr. It is sponsored by Cache Community Connections and on KVNU’s For the People program last week Richard West said it will be a celebration of diversity with the theme “We Have a Dream for Cache Valley”.

“Well I think this is a time when we recognize that our neighborhoods and communities are changing. They look different than they did a generation or two ago and we have increasing cultural and ethnic diversity, language diversity.

“This brings so many wonderful opportunities into our communities and neighborhoods for us to expand our horizons and understand the different views and perspectives of other people,” he said.

West said this is another opportunity to bring people together and experience a commitment to unity. The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Logan Tabernacle and there is no cost to attend.
