LOGAN — The intersection at 1400 N. and Main St. in Logan has been closed partially, while crews replace the traffic lights. The closure began at 9 a.m. Friday morning and is expected to last until early afternoon.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cade Brenchley said the closure affects the turn lanes, so motorists will only be able to drive straight through the intersection.
“There will be no left turns in any direction, north, south, east or west,” explained Brenchley.
Troopers are directing traffic, allowing motorists on Main St. to travel north or south, and east or west along 1400 N.
Brenchley suggests that motorists use alternate routes until about 3 p.m.
“We ask that people just avoid the intersection if at all possible. Most of all, be patient with us while Cache Valley Electric replaces the lights.”
Motorists can use 1800 N. or 1000 N. to travel east and west. North and south bound traffic can use 200 W. or 200 E. as alternate routes.
