High pressure will bring dry weather from the Great Lakes

and Ohio Valley easwtard across the Northeast today. To the

south, a cold front will bring periods of rain to North

Carolina, while scattered showers and thunderstorms will

occur across South Carolina, Georgia and the Florida

Panhandle. A few afternoon showers will occur across South

Florida. Dry and milder weather is in store for much of the

Midwest along with plenty of sunshine. Farther west, an

area of low pressure will bring occasional snow to northern

Nevada, Idaho, Montana and western Wyoming. A couple of

showers will occur along the Pacific Northwest coast and

across California, while dry weather will continue across

New Mexico and Arizona.
