The Nation’s Weather for Tuesday, February 27, 2018
—————
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An expansive area of high pressure will promote tranquil,
sunny and mild conditions across the Eastern Seaboard
tomorrow. A flow off the Atlantic Ocean will trigger spotty
showers along Florida’s east coast. Rain and thunderstorms
are forecast to return to the southern Plains and lower
Mississippi Valley, just days after severe weather battered
the region. River flooding will persist across a large
portion of the central United States after heavy rainfall
last week. The Rockies and Midwest can expect a dry, cool
day. Meanwhile, a storm will drop southward along the West
Coast, bringing snow to the Sierra and Southern California
mountains and a bit of rain to the lower elevations of the
Southwest. Light rain and snow may dampen western
Washington.
