LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The son of former NFL receiver Raghib “Rocket” Ismail has signed to play football at Wyoming.
Raghib “Rocket” Ismail Jr. is listed as 6-foot, 180-pound wide receiver.
He comes to Wyoming from Cisco Community College in Cisco, Texas, where he caught 48 passes for 434 yards and scored four receiving touchdowns last season. He added two kickoff returns for 40 yards and three punt returns for 12 yards for a total of 486 all-purpose yards.
According to a statement from Wyoming athletics, Ismail played one season at Cisco College after originally attending TCU.
His father finished second in the 1990 Heisman Trophy balloting while playing at Notre Dame.
His NFL career included stints with the Raiders, Panthers and Cowboys.
