LOGAN – A Nibley woman has become the first candidate to file for election on the Democratic ticket this year.
Democratic Party Chairman Danny Beus said the candidate is Karina Andelin Brown and that she is running for State Representative in House District 5, the seat soon to be vacated by Curt Webb.
Beus said Brown is an excellent candidate.
“She exemplifies service,” Beus said. “She is not a Washington insider. She has no special interest but serving people. Karina has been very active as an advocate for full Medicaid expansion. She believes that everybody, especially those most vulnerable, and who need medical coverage the most, deserve it.”
Beus said a kickoff concert will be held Wednesday at the Cache Venue. He said those attending are invited to donate to her campaign, to the Children’s Justice Center, or both.
