Friday party is for artists with or without disabilities

Jump the Moon invites everyone to their “Heart-for-Art” event on Friday, March 30th starting at 5 p.m. at 553 North Main in Logan. Owner/Artist-in-Residence Michael Bingham says the party is for artists with or without disabilities.

Those who attend will be able to create their own t-shirts and even art for their home.

“We have things like wheel chairs that are painting machines. We’ve got all kinds of fun, assistive devices. We have spin art machines, a pendulum painter that hangs from the ceiling, a bunch of cool stuff. We’re needing some funds to develop more of that, so we’re doing a fundraiser. What we’ll do is have different stations where you can go make art projects. One of them is you can make your own t-shirt on our spin art machine. We have t-shirts there or you can bring one of your own.”

Bingham says you can even enter an art contest for a grand prize, plus help the studio test out some new tools that allow even more artists to create. Come prepared to paint and play, says Bingham, and if you do it right you may get a little messy.

Bingham says it makes for a great date night or even a fun activity for the whole family. The event starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m.
