County Council designates May 3 as ‘Prayer Day’

LOGAN – Thursday, May 3rd has been declared “Prayer Day” by members of the Cache County Council. The proclamation came at Tuesday’s council meeting where Pastor Ron Plessner made the request. Plessner also asked the council to pray for the nation on the day that has been designated Prayer Day since 1775.

“There’s a lot of diversity in our country now and it’s a powerful thing,” he said. “If we get working together we can live in unity together and my prayer for Cache County, as well as Utah and for the nation, is that unity would prevail and the violence and the corruption and all the things that we don’t want to see in the news everyday would continue to dissipate by the power of the Lord Jesus.”

Plessner talked about his own faith and how it helped when he was involved in a serious automobile accident earlier this year.
