LOGAN – News related to Medicaid expansion in Utah seems to come each week. How the legislature is facing this challenge will be the topic of Ed Redd’s comments on Thursday, May 17 at the Sunshine Terrace Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation building.
Amy Anderson of the Sunshine Terrace commented on Redd’s upcoming visit.
“People may be aware that there was a bill passed by the legislature to expand coverage for 60 to 70 thousand Utahns that were still waiting for the Center for Medicare to approve,” she said. “There is also the Utah Decides Healthcare Initiative that is also on the ballot in November, it looks like. They both cover more individuals but there is going to be some differences, so Dr. Ed Redd is going to be speaking about the possible expansion of the house bill and then share some other information besides the initiative.”
The meeting will start at 12 p.m. The address for Sunshine Terrace is 248 W. 300 North in Logan. RSVP at (435) 535-5296.
