It’s the Weekend – June 7-10, 2018

Bear River Celebration, pickleball, an arts festival and a UTV palooza highlight the activities in and around Cache Valley this weekend.

It will be busy at Willow Park West on Saturday. The Bear River Celebration and Free Fishing Day begins at 10 a.m. and there will be hands-on educational activities for youth and their families, face painting, live music and a lot more. Have you ever played pickleball? Thursday morning Logan City is hosting a ribbon cutting for eight new pickleball courts at Bridger Park. There will be refreshments! The courts will be open for use starting this weekend.

If you like trail running, we’re going to let you in on a little-known secret. The 16 Crossings Trail Run in Smithfield is this Saturday and we hear it’s pretty amazing. The 11.5 mile run starts at 6:30 a.m. at Mack Park then heads up Birch Creek Canyon. You will cross a creek 16 times, so be ready to get wet. If you’re not really into getting wet, or into that long of a run, there is a 10k option for beginning trail runners.

The Brigham City Arts Festival is this Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bill of Rights Plaza – 20 North Main – in Brigham City. Performances, heritage and contemporary artists, quilt and trunk show, and children’s games are only some of the exciting things going on in downtown Brigham City Saturday.

SlikRok Productions is having UTV Palooza at Renegade Sports this Saturday, with over $20,000 in prizes. Show off your side-by-side, test your driving ability, eat great food, play mini-golf and have a great time with the whole family.
