Got extra produce from your garden and nowhere for it to go? Try the local food pantry.

Matt Whitaker, director of the Cache Community Food Pantry, said he will take any produce he can get during the harvest season.

Whitaker said the pantry, located at 359 South on Logan’s Main Street, serves about 600 families a month and also helps Box Elder, Rich, and Franklin counties with their needs.

“We’ll take anything,” he said. “If it’s produce and people want to donate it, we would love to have it. It doesn’t take long to get rid of it; it’s one of the first things that goes.”

Whitaker also said he can’t keep the fresh produce in stock.

To deliver produce, or any other food, take it to the west door in the rear of the building and ring the doorbell.
