Franklin County Fair is bustling with activities

Vernon and Lois Rodgers check out the entries from the 4-H children at the Franklin County Fair.

The Franklin County Fair in Preston, ID is alive with activity and plenty of visitors this weekend. The food booths were busy and the different displays brought hundreds of people throughout the weekend.

The Great Green Zucchini, where kids carve the large green vegetable and display them, is always a hit.

Children who took a chance in the America West Petting Zoo had a great time petting a calf, sheep, a goat and even a mini horse.

The stage shows entertained audiences from late morning to early evening with a variety of acts for audiences to enjoy. The stage show had plenty of musical acts but also Professor Habbrockson on hand for a special magic show.

The evenings brought lively arena events such as team branding and a special needs rodeo. The ever popular Fear Factor was back, so was Hypnotist John Moyer on Thursday.

There is plenty to do and see at the Franklin County Fair. Friday night the Freestyle Moto Insanity Tour flies around in the rodeo arena, followed by UTV and Tough Truck races. Saturday night the Bull Bonanza will be the last hurrah for the weekend.
