Logan City and UDOT seeking public feedback about the future of Main Street

Logan Mayor Holly Daines is excited about improving downtown Logan and she says council members have been spending lots of time in an effort to decide the best way to go.

On KVNU’s Speak to the Mayor program on Wednesday, Daines said right now there are efforts being made to decide the future of Main Street. She says the Utah Department of Transportation will be important, whatever they decide to do and they have been having discussions with their people.

In fact, she says a public meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 25th when the future of Main Street will be discussed.

“It’s higher level goals, what people hope to accomplish. From that it will move to the next step. I just appreciate that UDOT is willing to engage and ask, ‘What is important to your community? What are your goals? What would you like to see happen?’

“I would encourage people that if they have ideas or suggestions that they come to the meeting. Send them to me in an email if you can’t make the meeting and we’ll be happy to pass those along.”

She said hopefully a lot of people will come and they will be free to ask questions and make contributions. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Logan City Council Chambers.
