Logan city says call city to have city-owned trees trimmed

Logan City would like to remind residents that trees located in parks and in the park strip (the area between the curb and sidewalk) are city property.  It is against city ordinance to remove or trim existing trees or to plant new ones without prior approval.

In a press release, the city said it is more than happy to address concerns that residents have about trees in parks and park strips. The city has more than 11,000 trees to care for and the City Forester appreciates residents who alert them to trees that are in need of care.

To report tree concerns, please call the City Forester, Rex Davis, at 435-716-9749 or email him at rex.davis@loganutah.org. Residents who would like a tree planted in a park strip should also contact the City Forester at the contact information above.
