Alan Gebert, of Millville, won first place with his giant pumpkin at the Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove on Saturday. The giant pumpkin weighed-in at 1,277 pounds.

He not only won first place for the largest pumpkin at the event, but also for the Biggest Pumpkin in Utah for 2018.

The pumpkin will be on display at the Utah State FairPark for Pumpkin Nights and will be carved by a professional carver closer to Halloween.

Gebert, his wife Jill and their daughter Samantha, took third place with their 1096 pound pumpkin in the Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers 14th Annual Weigh-Off at Thanksgiving Point. They took home a third place ribbon earlier this month.
