Fire fighters were called to a house fire Wednesday night. The two-alarm blaze was reported just after 7:30 p.m. at 289 East 200 North in Smithfield.
According to emergency radio traffic, a resident of the home detected the fire and called 911. She told dispatch operators the blaze was located in the attic and all the occupants had been able to evacuate safely.
First crews on the scene reported the fire was fully involved. Flames were seen coming from the roof of the home.
