In December, Shopko Stores Operating Co., LLC announced that it is selling 42 pharmacy locations across the United States to Kroger. The majority of those pharmacies are located in Wisconsin, but the sale does include 10 locations in Utah, including Logan (at 1351 N. Main) and Brigham City (at 747 S. Main).
According to a press release, the main Shopko stores will remain open. Anyone who had prescriptions through Shopko pharmacies locally will now get their medications at Smith’s (442 N. 172 E., Logan), Smith’s Marketplace (750 N. Main St., Logan) and Smith’s in Brigham City (156 S. Main St., Brigham City).
Besides in Logan and Brigham City, Shopko pharmacies will be closed in Murray, Ogden, Orem, Salt Lake City, Sandy, Spanish Fork, West Jordan and West Valley.
Three Shopko pharmacies in Idaho are also affected in the sale: two in Boise and one in Nampa. The Shopko in Kalispell, Montana was also included in the sale.
