Susan Sheaffer Taylor

May 13, 1930 ~ June 7, 2019

Susan Sheaffer Taylor passed into the waiting arms of her daughters Nancy & Lydia and husband, Charlie, on Friday, June 7th, 2019.

Susan, was born May 13th, 1930 to Craig and Virginia Sheaffer in Chicago, Illinois. Susan, a rare & delightful spitfire, was a perpetual joy to be around with a beautiful voice, a generous nature and a quick wit.

She met and married Charles Taylor, her true love and kindred soul, after his service in WWII; they were introduced by her brother John, After farming in Kansas, Susan moved her young family west with Charlie to Tremonton, Utah in 1955 to cultivate a new farm in the Curlew Valley.

Many neighborhood children spent delicious and pleasurable summer days with Susan and her sandwiches, laughing in the sunshine and frolicking around the yard under her kind, watchful eyes. Her love of cards and butter are legendary; her cooking and parties transcendent for their taste (literally) and vivacity. Along with being the figurative cement of her family and a great champion and supporter to many others in the community, Susan was a committed volunteer of the Red Cross Blood Bank, spending many years with the organization. Her incredible personality shines through in her children and grandchildren. She leaves many people that love her.

There will be a memorial held Friday, June 14th beginning at 11:00am with a prayer for family and friends, with the memorial starting at 11:30am at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah.

The family would like to specially thank Ashley Rhodes for her loving care of Susan in addition to Intermountain Home Health and Hospice; specifically, Dr. Todd Miller, Shelby, Mavis, & Irene, along with the many others that cared for Susan these last five years.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Intermountain Home Health and Hospice, The Red Cross or The Snowville Ambulance. Please note that the donation is in memorial to Susan Taylor.
