The Box Elder County Sheriffs Office is investigating what they term a  “suspicious death”.  According to a press release from Chief Deputy Dale Ward, at about 7:50 AM  Thursday,  deputies responded to  Bill Flack Park  at approximately 2450 North 4050 West in Corinne. The caller had found a body in the park. Authorities found a deceased male later identified as 16 year-old Marcus Elkins.

The investigation reveals that Elkins did not die at this location and was brought to the park sometime after death. Leads that detectives have are being followed.    According to sources, Elkins was seen as late at 10:00 PM on Wednesday night in the area of the park. There were no signs of external trauma on  the victim.

His body will be transported to the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the  cause and manner of death.  The sheriffs office says there are persons of interest at this time, all juveniles, who may have first-hand knowledge to aid the investigation and/or may be involved.
