LOGAN – Cache Valley Transit District is making changes to some of its county routes. Generally, the county routes – 11, 12, 14, and 15 – will add one more run in the evening, said Todd Beutler, the CEO and general manager.
Route 15, Logan to Smithfield and Richmond, is the route most affected by the expansion. CVTD has added an earlier run, as well as the later one. There are passenger alerts at the Transit Center and on their website giving more information.
“These changes are based on feedback the District has received from riders and non-riders requesting hours be extended in this area,” Beutler said. “The District’s Board of Trustees supported increasing service to provide increased transportation options.”
These changes are part of a multi-phased plan to increase the convenience of transit in Cache Valley.
There are also changes at Utah State University, due to construction that will affect routes 15, 4 and 1.
CVTD has transported nearly two million riders annually since 2012.
The changes in Route 15 will take effect Monday, August 26, 2019.
