LOGAN – Construction work on Airport Road continues on schedule, but you won’t see big trucks in that area next week.
According to an update on the Logan City’s Facebook page, work will be temporarily stopped September 21-25 during a curing period for the cement stabilized road base, which is now in place. Crews will be onsite periodically to monitor the curing process. Following the curing period, asphalt installation will begin.
The city reminds drivers that no traffic is allowed in the construction zone, or on the roadway during this time.
Drivers are being detoured on State Route 30 (200 North) via 3200 West and 1000 West.
Damage caused by unauthorized vehicles will delay the project and require portions of the process to start over, according to the city.
The city wishes to express its appreciation to the public for their continued support and patience.
The resurfacing project began on September 16 and is scheduled to last about two weeks.
