LOGAN — A 33-year-old Logan man who is already facing charges of seducing a teenage girl to have sex with him, has been arrested again. Rajan P. Hennick was booked into the Cache County Jail on Monday, suspected of stalking the teenage girl after bailing out of jail.
Court records show, Hennick was arraigned in 1st District Court Thursday afternoon. He was charged with one count of stalking, a third-degree felony. He already faces charges of enticing a minor, a second-degree felony; unlawful sexual conduct with a teenager and dealing in materials harmful to a minor, both third-degree felonies; and indecent liberties with a minor, a class A misdemeanor.
According to a police report, shortly after Hennick was released on bail in the first case, he began trying to talk to the alleged victim, even though a judge had ordered him to have no contact with her or her family.
The 17-year-old girl told officers that the defendant had left several notes on her vehicle. He also attempted to follow her home, after she got off work.
In July, police began investigating Hennick after the victim’s mother found a package that was given to her daughter. It contained lingerie and an adult novelty item.
Police obtained a warrant to search the victim’s phone. They found messages between the girl and Hennick discussing the package and her wearing the lingerie. They also located messages between the victim and a co-worker, discussing how the suspect groped and molested her while the two were at a local movie theater.
When police interviewed the victim, she admitted that she had exchanged nude photos with Hennick, who worked together. She also acknowledged that she didn’t know exactly how old the suspect was, but believed he knew that she was a juvenile.
Hennick told police he knew the girl was underage. He also confessed to touching her inappropriately at the movie theater and sending her a nude photograph of himself.
Hennick is being held in jail and scheduled to appear again in court Monday. He could face up to five-years in prison if convicted.
