LOGAN – After Friday’s games came to a close, the updated Region 11 standings do not match the latest RPI standings released by the Utah High School Activities Association over the weekend. The biggest difference is that Mountain Crest is in second place in region standings, but is the third ranked team from the region in RPI standings. Green Canyon remains the #3 team overall in RPI despite trailing Mountain Crest in region standings.
Sky View leads all schools in Region 11 in both record (the only undefeated school in region play) and RPI (ranked #2 overall in 4A). The Utah 4A playoffs begin the weekend of Oct. 25-26 and the top 10 schools in the final RPI rankings will get a first round bye.

In 5A, Box Elder is currently #17 in RPI and last in Region 5. Rich is also last in the the 2A North Division and is ranked #13 in the latest RPI.
It’s a close race across the border in Idaho. Three area schools currently occupy the top three spots in the 2A South East Idaho Conference.

- Malad (1-1, 3-3)
There are three more weeks of games for Idaho schools, but Bear Lake, West Side and Malad only have two more games. Preston, on the other hand, has three more games on their schedule with their last home game this Friday. The Preston Indians (1-1, 4-2) are currently 3rd in the 4A Great Basin Conference – East Pod.
This Friday are the final games in region play for Region 11. The week 9 Region 11 schedule is as follows: Sky View vs Bear River (the Bobcat broadcast will be on 106.9 FM / 1390 AM The FAN, and the Bears broadcast will be on 104.9 The Ranch in Box Elder County); Green Canyon vs Logan (broadcast on Lite FM 100.9 and on KVNU 610 AM / 102.1 FM); and, Ridgeline vs Mountain Crest (broadcast on 104.5 The Ranch and 107.7 FM).
