LOGAN – It’s that time of year again when children dress up as ghosts, goblins, and ghouls, and take their bags around to trick-or-treat to downtown merchants.
Children and parents can enjoy a fun celebration of getting treats during the annual Treat Walk in Historic Downtown Logan on Halloween Day, Oct. 31.
“We expect about 50 businesses to open their doors and welcome costume-clad trick-or-treaters Thursday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.,” said Gary Saxton, manager of the Logan Downtown Alliance. “Just look for the Halloween Treat Walk poster in their door or window.”
There should be plenty of free parking. Businesses participating are located between 200 North and 100 South, and along Center Street and 100 North between 100 West and 100 East along Main Street.
He suggests looking for the Downtown Alliance Facebook event post.
“It’s going to be a great day. If the weather goes bad people need to plan accordingly,” Saxton said. “Each business usually has about 1,600 items to give away.”
