There are some fun ways to celebrate Halloween this week, and other fun activities, too.
Halloween Treat Walk
Dozens of downtown businesses will be handing out candy Thursday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Historic Downtown Logan. Just look for the sign in the business window.
Trick-or-Treat at the Cache Valley Mall
If you don’t want to brave the cold, try trick-or-treating indoors. Businesses in the Cache Valley Mall will be participating on Halloween from 3-5 p.m. No masks allowed
90th Annual Whittier Center’s Halloween Carnival
The Whittier Center will be another indoor option for trick-or-treaters from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday. There will be games, activities and treats. It is also an opportunity to donate food for the Cache Community Food Pantry.
Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Utah Theatre
Audience participation is encouraged (come in costume) at the Utah Theatre when the show begins at 11:59 p.m. Halloween evening.
Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead)
The USU Latinx Creative Society will be leading a procession to remember and honor loved ones who have died. That begins Friday at 11:30 a.m. on the Quad. Then, there will be a community event from 4-6 p.m. in the International Lounge of the Taggart Student Center. Events there will celebrate the diverse latino culture in Cache Valley, including face painting.
Crossroads of the West Gun Show
A gun show for the novice, the hunter and even avid collector takes place Friday and Saturday at the Cache County Events Center. Doors will be open Friday from 12-7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Special Olympics Flag Football Rivalry Game
The BYU and USU Unified Special Olympics teams square off against each other in flag football on Merlin Olsen Field Friday at 6. Highlights of the game will be shown during the Aggie game Saturday night.
USU Wind Orchestra
Their fall concert is Friday evening in the Daines Concert Hall. It begins at 7:30 p.m. and it’s free
USU Observatory Public Viewing Night
On Friday, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., go to the roof of the Science, Engineering, Research building on campus to see the stars. It’s free to attend and it looks like we’ll have clear skies that night.
USU vs BYU Hockey
It’s a Pink in the Rink night Friday night at the Eccles Ice Center. Support breast cancer awareness and the Aggies as they take on the Cougars at 7 p.m.
Family First Saturday – Food and Culture
Sample foods from cultures around the world and connect with USU student organizations at the USU Museum of Anthropology. The food and fun begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Run to Remember 5K
The race raises money to rescue dogs, train them, then pair them with veterans – at no cost to the veteran. It starts at 9 a.m. in Elk Ridge Park in North Logan.
USU vs BYU football
The Aggies host in-state rivals BYU Saturday night on Merlin Olsen Field. The game starts at 8 p.m. and it’s a Black Out game.
