NORTH LOGAN – North Logan City is holding their 2019 Hungry Games until December 2. Hungry Games was organized to increase customer traffic in seven participating eateries in the city.
“Participants must eat at five of the seven participating restaurants,” said Chase Butterfield, North Logan City’s Economic Specialist. “This is our third year and the games have resulted in a 10 to 15 percent increase in traffic to our restaurants.”
The city prints off a bunch of cards with a random number of points for the restaurants.
“At the end of the contest, we give out prizes,” Butterfield said. “In the past they have had businesses donate in-kind prizes.”
He said people from outside of North Logan City limits can participate. To join in, purchase a meal at any participating location, and you’ll be rewarded with a card. Each card is worth a random number of points.
“If you don’t receive a Point-Card with your meal, ask for one at the cash register,” Butterfield said. “When you have acquired a minimum of five cards from different restaurants, you will be eligible to win a prize.”
There are more hints and information on the North Logan website.
The games will end on December 2, with an award ceremony on December 5 at the North Logan Library located at 475 E. 2500 N. Prizes can be accepted in person or by a representative.
The seven participating restaurants in North Logan are: Mo’Bettahs, Shaffer House Bakery, Fizz and Fries, La Tormenta Mexican Food, Black Pearl, Park Café and Sweeto Burrito.
