BLACKFOOT, IDAHO — A 42-year-old Pocatello man has been arrested after he allegedly stole a vehicle and led law enforcement on a high speed chase though southeastern Idaho.  Michael A. Oglesbee was booked into the Bingham County Jail Wednesday afternoon.

Idaho State Police report Oglesbee was spotted driving a stolen Saturn Relay van southbound on Interstate-15 around 3:00 p.m.  Bingham County Sheriff’s deputies began following the vehicle and radioed for assistance.

Police claim Oglesbee used the median near milepost 95 to make a U-turn and began driving northbound while law enforcement continued their pursuit.  Several minutes later, the suspect drove into the median again and stopped the vehicle.

Oglesbee was taken into custody and booked on possession of a stolen vehicle, eluding officers and failing to have a driver’s license.  He is being held without bail.
