Highway Patrolman honored as hero

Sgt. Cade Brenchley a local Utah Highway Patrol officer was honored as the Fall 2019 Logan’s Hero for his service to the community by Preston Parker, restaurant owner.

LOGAN – Sgt. Cade Brenchley, a local Utah Highway Patrol officer, was honored recently as the Fall 2019 Logan’s Hero by the local sandwich shop Logan Heroes recently.

Brenchley, a 15-year veteran of law enforcement, is a Cache Valley native. He’s had several once-in-a-lifetime experiences, such as being hit by a car during a winter storm, saving drivers from burning semi-trucks and delivering a baby in a car on the side of the road.

Sergeant Brenchley not only responds to car accidents, he looks for impaired drivers, and people who are wanted for crimes. He also teaches Driver’s Education courses and is often invited to Cub Scout meetings and safety classes.

Brenchley enjoys aspects of his profession, but he also husband and father. He and his wife, Lindsay, have four children.
