InTech Collegiate High School holding information session ahead of open enrollment deadline

NORTH LOGAN — Last fall, InTech Collegiate High School announced it would be expanding its enrollment and changing its name to InTech Collegiate Academy at the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year. Beginning in August, the school will begin accepting 7th and 8th grade students. The enrollment period for the next academic year concludes this week and the school is hosting an information open house for those who may have questions about the school and its programs.

The information session is for parents and interested students who will be enrolled in grades 7-11 for the 2020-21 school year and is scheduled for Thursday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the school located at 1787 Research Park Way, North Logan. InTech is a public charter school and does not charge tuition to attend.

Along with the information session, InTech is also hosting tours of the school (by appointment), as well as allowing potential students to come and “shadow” an InTech student for a day.

“We really have some wonderful opportunities that just aren’t available through other junior high or high school experiences and we would love for people to come check us out,” Executive Director Jason Stanger explained in a statement. “While we are not for every student, we are a great fit for students who want a unique STEM or Early College experience or who would benefit from a small learning environment.”

The open enrollment deadline (to be considered in InTech’s January enrollment lottery) is January 31st.

“Although students can still apply after January 31st,” Stanger continued, “we really encourage people to apply before the deadline so that if we have to use a lottery, they have the best chance of getting in.”

InTech is one of six, public Early College high schools in Utah and partners with Utah State University to expand the base of talent entering college and STEM (Science, Technology, and Engineering & Mathematics) careers by providing outreach to under-represented groups, early college programs and STEM focused curriculum.
