LOGAN – Both the Logan, Cache County and Box Elder County school districts have announced a two hour delay to Monday’s class schedules due to a heavy winter storm. Additionally, morning Kindergarten and preschool classes have been canceled in those districts.
All classes have been cancelled in the Preston School District for Monday.
“Students should plan to arrive at their bus stops exactly two hours later than usual,” the Cache County School District said in a statement. “Schools will release at the usual time and will make decisions on their extracurricular activities based on the safety of students and staff, after consulting with transportation.”
While road and weather conditions may vary throughout the county, the Cache County School District says it respects a parent’s decision whether or not a student should attend school that day due to conditions.
“The option to keep children home during severe weather conditions is always at their parent’s discretion and school staff will respect that decision.”
The National Weather Service says a Winter Storm Warning remains in affect until 10 p.m. Monday.
