LOGAN — A 38-year-old Logan man has been arrested on an alleged date-rape that occurred last year. Casey C. Bingham was booked into the Cache County Jail Tuesday afternoon.

Cache County Sheriff’s Lt. Doyle Peck said deputies began investigating Bingham in November, when a woman claimed he raped her after going to a club in Ogden. The two had a previous relationship and recently reconnected on social media.

“She was offered a ride home by Mr. Bingham because he had stated that she looked intoxicated,” explained Peck. “He drove her to her residence and asked to stay, so he could sober up, which she found interesting because he had driven her home. She gave him permission to stay there for a little while. Later that evening is when she stated that he forcefully had sexual intercourse with her, which is a result of the rape charge.”

It is believed that Bingham or someone else slipped a drug into the alleged victim’s drink while they were at the club. She remembered leaving her glass at a table unattended several times during the evening.

Bingham hasn’t had any prior major involvements with law enforcement. Detectives questioned him before his arrest but he has refused to cooperate.

Peck said they believe Bingham may have raped other women in a similar way in the past. Anyone who feels like they may have been assaulted by the suspect is asked to call law enforcement.

“Based on information we’ve obtained and the process of the investigation, our concern is that there may have been a substance used to alter her mental state, rendering her physically incapable of resisting. She made several comments about feeling a certain way. Based on this, we believe that this may have occurred to other women as well.”

Bingham remains in jail on $50,000 bail. He is expected to be arraigned in 1st District Court on formal charges Thursday afternoon.

Who do you get your information from, how can you post something that is not true. Your facts are not correct

You don’t ever have the facts. How can you say wgat is claimed isn’t true?

I can totally see this guy doing this watching him think he is freaking Don Juan. Pathetic

So hold up. This article is incredibly vague.

Let me get this straight though.

The victim was his ex gf?
The victim was at the club in Ogden ALONE?
    – has anyone ever known a chick that went to clubs alone? The reason i say this, she would have been able to ride home with friends assuming she didnt take her own vehicle, that just creates a strange predicament.

However, she still rides home with Casey, ends up letting him stay, they end up having “intercourse” (the most impersonal term available). She then contacts the authorities and accuses him of rape… Ok… I am all about supporting victims! But NO ONE should condemn an individual simply because they were accused. Where is any evidence? They say that they suspect the girl was drugged (she clearly remembers leaving her drink unattended… Which is strange when you are intoxicated and have an acute memory…) If she was drugged, she should have lost consciousness, there should also be a toxicology screening, was that done? Did they ever prove that he actually drugged her before saying that “they believe he has done this to other women”? I mean you should at least know that he drugged this victim in question before publicly announcing your now plural victim suspicions.

This should be an article stating the current facts that they have and leaving it at that, not leaving speculation and incomplete conjecture on the table just for the sake of having a story in Logan.

Just to clarify, innocent until proven guilty. Never condemn a person on hearsay. If he is guilty, punish him to the fullest extent. If he isnt guilty, hearsay and articles like this will never let this man have a normal life again.

Hearsay. Someone saying she was raped is NOT hearsay.

Amen…I mean what if she was trying to get him to come back to her and HE said “NO, I am not looking for anyone right now” AFTER she had sex with him(RAGE AND REGRET of a woman spurned) as it says above LATER which means he was let to stay much longer than what should have been had she not been up to something herself or comfortable with him… never once stated she had lost consciousness as with a roofie/date rape drug??? this story jumped over everything important in her story right to him getting a rape charge, not him raping her just HIM GETTING A RAPE CHARGE… me being a woman who has been date raped 3 times by men stronger than myself knows what to watch for and this story is full of holes like a shitton of holes If I was suspicious of anyone coming into my house, he stays AT THE DOOR I DONT CARE HIS SIZE or PAST RELATIONS, see the bad thing about past relations is a man thinks he knows your signals and follows what you taught him in the past, none of this makes any sense and trust me I am the first to judge a rapist..

This needs to go with my last comment, I am married to a man that I would NEVER let back in my home or near my family again, because of things I do not trust about him, EVEN if I was Drunk/roofied I would know before hand to stay away, UNLESS I was trying to get him back….

That’s actuallu exactly what hearsay is. Regardless of the heinous nature of what is being discussed. An accusation requires enough evidence to proof beyond the shadow of a doubt… Otherwise or until that point, it is hearsay, sharing it publicly and written in such a way as to sway the readers opinion is simply spreading a rumor; and when it is spread amongst individuals who cannot affect and kind of difference or change then yes, it is nothing more than hearsay amongst people like you and I.

Thank You Reed Wyatt I’m so tired of reading about all these arrests and what they say. But then they are found not guilty. And you never hear the real story, and it ruins their life. Anymore who can’t touch anyone without someone calling it rape.
