Fire fighters quickly extinguish townhome fire in Providence

PROVIDENCE — Fire fighters were able to quickly extinguish a townhome fire before it spread. The blaze was reported Monday around 1:45 p.m. near 340 W. Spring Creek Parkway in Providence.

According to emergency radio traffic, a woman called 911 reporting the fire coming from underneath a bed, in an upstairs bedroom of the condo. She and the other occupants were able to evacuate safely.

Smoke was seen coming from an upstairs window when crews arrived on the scene. Fire fighters quickly entered the town home and extinguished the fire. The flames were reportedly kept from neighboring rooms or adjacent condos.

There were no reports of any injuries.
