Final RPI rankings and playoff seeding announced for 4A basketball

SALT LAKE CITY – The final RPI rankings for 4A basketball were released Wednesday morning by the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA). And, as a result, the accompanying playoff seeding was also released, laying out a roadmap to the 4A state championship at Dixie State University.

The first round of the playoffs for both the boys and girls teams will take place Friday, Feb. 18 at home sites. The top three teams in 4A receive a first round bye and automatically advance to the quarterfinals which begin on Monday, Feb. 21 at Dixie State beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the boys and 4:10 p.m. for the girls. Most Region 11 teams stay close to home on Friday, with only #12 Bear River boys heading to #5 Crimson Cliffs and #13 Logan girls heading to #4 Snow Canyon.

For the boys, #3 Ridgeline will play Monday, Feb. 21 at 2:30 p.m. and they will face the winner of #6 Green Canyon vs #11 Logan. For the girls, #4 Sky View will play the winner of #6 Mountain Crest vs #11 Bear River at 4:10 p.m. and #1 Ridgeline will play Monday at 7:30 p.m. against the winner of #8 Pine View vs #9 Dixie.
