Our loving Mother, Grandma, and Friend, Lorraine Melba Larson Larsen, passed away peacefully on September 13th, 2022, at the age of 101.

Lorraine was born on a small farm in Richmond, Utah, on January 3rd, 1921, to E Robert and Esther Westerberg Larson. She was the baby sister of three older brothers. She attended schools in Richmond and graduated from North Cache High School.

Lorraine was a nanny in Salt Lake City for one summer and then attended Utah State Agricultural College for one year before starting work with the U.S. Government during World War II. She also worked at Utah Mortgage and Washington Federal as a Loan Officer. One of her most significant accomplishments was becoming Assistant Vice President at Logan Savings and Loan.

She married Gilbert T. Larsen in Richmond on December 18th, 1946. They later sealed their marriage in the Logan LDS Temple.  Lorraine was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved all her callings. She especially loved being the Ward and Stake Dance Director, Teaching Guide Patrol in Primary for 14 years, and her callings in Sunday School and Relief Society. Lorraine was very independent, living on her own until a few months ago.

Lorraine is survived by her sons, Lee, Fort Worth, TX; and Brian (Karen) South Weber, as well as her daughter in law, Linda, West Jordan. Grandchildren; Connor, Stephanie (James), Christopher, Eric, Richard, and Michael. Four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Conrad, Kenneth, and Vern, and their spouses; her husband Gilbert; her sweet baby boy Robert Kevin; and her wonderful son Steven Loy.

The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Springs of North Logan and Aegis Hospice for the wonderful care and service they provided our mother.

Per her wishes, there will be a graveside service on Monday, September 19th, at 11 am at Logan Cemetery.

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at Nelson Funeral Home.
