LOGAN — Appearing on KVNU’s For the People program on Monday along with U.S. Senator for Utah, Mike Lee, were Kansas Senator Roger Marshall and Utah state senator Chris Wilson. Marshall says he sees a lot of similarities of his state with Utah.
“It’s very, very similar. We take the drive here and we see alfalfa, cattle and dairies and this is a college city here in Cache County. It reminds me of Manhattan, Kansas, Kansas State University, another Ag school.
“So, it’s great to be here with a group of people that we interact with are educated. People ask ‘why are you here with Senator Lee?’ Mike and I share so many of the same values, values like faith and family and community,” said Marshall.
Utah State Senator Chris Wilson talked about why he has endorsed Mike Lee.
“As I’ve talked to many constituents here in Cache Valley, a lot of times on a daily basis, and a lot of their concerns are obviously what he’s talked about: inflation. The other thing that they’ve really talked about is the federal overreach. And now, more than ever, I really believe we need Senator Lee back in Washington, trying to push back on the federal overreach. There’s only so much we can do in this state. Obviously, we’re doing what we can to push back on the Biden administration, some of their policies,” he explained.
Wilson encouraged all the people in his district to make sure they fill out their ballots and vote. Lee is being challenged by independent candidate Evan McMullin.
Gross
Senator Lee, the senator who has accomplished nothing and obstructed any sort of solutions. Yeah, that’s exactly what we need.
Hear, Hear! You forgot to add to kowtowing to the most morally bankrupt president ever and that is saying something.
Mike Lee needs to be a lobbyist in the private sector.
The most morally bankrupt? Were you asleep when JFK, LBJ, BJ Clinton, Obama and Bush were in office?
