CACHE COUNTY – The winners to be honored at the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual Awards Gala have been announced.

That event will take place at the Riverwoods Conference Center on Friday, Mar. 10.

“The 2023 Award Gala promises to be one of the year’s best events,” according to Jaime Andrus, president and CEO of the local chamber organization.

We’re proud to honor and give accolades to outstanding businesses and individuals who have contributed to our community in the past year,” she added.

Copping the Citizen of the Year award will be Michael Bingham, the founder and executive director of the Jump the Moon Foundation.

Honored as the outstanding service organization for 2023 will be the Cache Refugee and Immigration Connection.

The New Small Business of the Year award goes to Prodigy Brewing; the Cache Grand Fondo snagged Event of the Year; and the Socially Conscious Business of the Year honor will be awarded Sol Speak Yoga.

Margaret Gittins will also be recognized as the Outstanding Woman of the Year.

At his Jump the Moon Studio on 100 West Street, philanthropist Bingham helps people with disabilities express themselves through art.

Bingham’s studio also provides space where those artworks can be displayed and sold.

Prodigy Brewing is a family-friendly brewpub opened in 2022 at 25 W. Center Street in Logan.

Prodigy is jointly owned by Jason Smith, Matt Clyburn and Rob Paul, who all said that bringing the first ever brewery to Logan was a dream come true for them.

The event draws hundreds of cyclists to Cache Valley, along with their team-members, friends and families.

The Cache Refugee and Immigrant Connection is a local non-profit group that seeks to promote integration, economic self-sufficiency and positive connections for newcomers here.

Their volunteers use two-way education, improved access to existing resources and development of new services to forge bonds between refugees and immigrants and the wider Cache Valley community.

Located at 60 West, 100 North, Sol Speak Yoga is a studio for beginners through advanced yoga practitioners.

Owner Rachel Quillen and her talented staff of instructors offer yoga classes for all ages and body types.
