LOGAN — Utah State wide receiver Josh Davis, the player identified as the athlete who collapsed during Thursday’s spring football practice, has been upgraded from critical condition, to fair condition as of Friday morning according to a release from Utah State University.

The cause of Davis’ collapse according to the release was a “non-traumatic sudden cardiac arrest.” He was attended to immediately by USU training staff led by Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine, Mike Williams. Emergency personnel later arrived and provided additional support.

Davis was initially transported to Logan Regional Hospital where he was stabilized but remained in critical condition. He was later transferred to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

According to USU’s statement, the McKay-Dee staff “continued treatment with therapeutic hypothermia to lower the body temperature to preserve his neurological function.” Davis has since been taken off life-sustaining medical devices and is breathing under his own power.

Davis is a redshirt freshman from Carlsbad, California. His parents arrived in Utah Thursday evening and met with Utah State personnel — including Jerry Bovee, the interim athletics director, and head football coach Blake Anderson — at the hospital.

I am happy to hear this young man is recovering from his cardiac arrest. What has become very disturbing is this new “phenomenon” regarding young adults and teenagers collapsing, and in many cases dying, from myocardial infarction aka heart attacks. Something that’s even more disturbing is the attempted normalization of this once rare medical emergency occurring in young adults. This “phenomena” has only been seen in the last year or two. What is different now versus three years ago? Myocarditis, pericarditis, blood clots, and other once anomalous medical conditions are admitted side effects of the mRNA COVID shots which I am going to assume this young man took. The reason I assume he did is based on the policies disseminated by Utah State University as a condition for admittance. I hope this young man continues to recover. Best wishes to him and his family.

Well, since you have zero knowledge of this young man or his medical history this comment is at best irresponsible and at worst, downright stupid. But, you do you.

Your comment could have ended after the first sentence. Everyone has to get in their 2 cents. Whether political, religious or personal; most opinions these days overshadow decent human compassion.

But what does this have to do with the vaccine?

Alas, irrational people refuse to see reason which is why I will not argue these admitted facts with any of you. Congressional hearings are being conducted on the vaccine harms, if you are so inclined I suggest you go check them out. Otherwise, I hope you will see the truth before it’s too late. God bless.

Don’t get the vaccine. Especially if you’re young and healthy!
