LOGAN – Logan’s Malouf Foundation recently announced its ongoing commitment to provide bedding to Citizens Against Physical and Sexual Abuse (CAPSA)’s emergency shelter. The 36-bed homeless shelter provides refuge to survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation.
Malouf Foundation has been donating bedding to CAPSA since 2011, including pillows, comforters, sheet sets, and mattress protectors for use in the shelter. Additionally, the foundation donates mattresses, bed frames, and bedding to families moving from shelter to housing. The foundation also installed new furniture and room accessories for a common living space at CAPSA through the Rooms Restored program.
“As we expand our reach and impact, we remain committed to supporting local individuals impacted by domestic violence and sexual exploitation,” said Kacie Malouf, co-founder of Malouf Companies and Malouf Foundation board chair. “Malouf Foundation will continue to support CAPSA and their mission. We know their programs are saving and changing lives.”
CAPSA CEO and Executive Director, Jill Anderson, emphasized the importance of the shelter’s role in survivors’ lives.
“Domestic violence is complicated and often dangerous,” Anderson explained. “When individuals and families enter CAPSA’s emergency shelter, they are often escaping danger, and all are working to build a new life free from abuse.”
Individuals and families staying at the CAPSA shelter meet with caseworkers to develop personalized action plans, prioritizing their goals. This includes securing safe and affordable housing, obtaining employment, obtaining protective orders, and supporting children’s physical, social, and emotional needs.
In Fiscal Year 2022, CAPSA sheltered 271 individuals (140 women, 21 men, and 110 accompanied children) for a total of 5,857 nights (average of 22).

Malouf received $50 MILLION in Tax Breaks over next 20 years (not long before laying off dozens of employees), certainly continued minimal support of CAPSA is THE LEAST they can do!
