Utah State football will hold practice in lieu of annual Spring Showcase on Saturday, April 22

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State football will hold a practice in lieu of its annual Blue vs. White Spring Showcase on Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium on Saturday, April 22. Practice will start at 1 p.m.

“Due to injuries and attrition during the spring, the number of available players is not where we need it to be to hold a traditional spring game, so we will hold a practice,” said USU head coach Blake Anderson. “Everyone that is available to practice will practice, but it will mostly be in drill settings. We will finish with some live work, but that will be very short and limited.”

Fans will have the opportunity to win prizes during the practice with various on-field competitions.

Seating for the Spring Showcase will be limited to Sections 100-109 as the south endzone, and all of the east side of the stadium will be closed due to construction.

Following the Spring Showcase, Utah State’s football players will participate in a youth clinic on the field for all kids ages 12 and under.

A large number of former Aggies will be in attendance and recognized as a group during the practice.

Gates at Maverik Stadium will open at noon. The South Ticket Office at Maverik Stadium, as well as concessions on the south concourse, will also open at noon. Ticket office representatives will be available to answer any ticket-related questions and assist with football season ticket renewals.

Football season ticket renewals are currently being accepted. To renew, fans should visit www.utahstateaggies.com or do so in person or by phone through the USU Ticket Office during regular business hours (435-797-0305). New season ticket orders can also be made at this time.

Not much to showcase for football or basketball this year. We are left hanging with skeleton teams and a football coach that protects sexual predators
